Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Pneuma unit take much training to operate?
No, not at all. Our units are designed for ease of use. Whatever the size, model or configuration you opt for, each one is easy to operate and maintain. Each unit comes with a manual and full technical and maintenance support is only a call or email away.
Where do you ship to?
Does Pneuma come with a warranty?
Is Pneuma compliant with electrical and safety regulations?
What underwater apparatus are required?
Can Pneuma be used in applications other than aquaculture and fisheries?
Anywhere in the world. Wherever someone requires our products, we will supply them.
Yes. In the event of a unit breaking down we will supply another immediately and we will take the faulty product in for repair or disposal. A variety of purchase and leasing options are available to our customers, but regardless of how you are using us, we will keep your aeration needs met and your stock protected.
Yes. Each unit comes PAT tested and fully compliant to EN 61010-1 and EN 60730-1 standards. Depending on where the unit is being installed, we will always ensure that national and local regulations are adhered to. All electrical connections, plugs and devices will be appropriate to your location.
Pneuma can be used with semi-flexible diffusers, ceramic microbubble diffusers, venturi nozzles or porous aeration hose. Units can be supplied and installed with the full array of diffusers or hoses according to your needs. Whether it’s open marine cages, growing ponds, tanks or fishery lakes, we can supply the solution suitable for you. When you contact us, we will converse with you and recommend a suitably powered model and also which sort of diffuser heads would be optimal for your situation and species.
Yes. Pneuma is suitable for activities such as the remediating of polluted waterbodies and treating septic tanks. It can also create a bubble curtain to deter migratory fish away from hydroelectrical turbines or protect marine life from underwater noise when activities such as piling piers could harm marine mammals. Our units are adaptable and capable of solving many problems, perhaps even some that we haven't thought of yet!
Is it possible to run Pneuma off-grid or using renewable sources?
What are Nanobubbles?
Yes. We understand that some locations have little or no access to mains power. Pneuma models can be run by solar panels or turbines alongside battery banks. For more information, please contact us.
Nanobubbles, as the name suggests, are tiny bubbles, microscopic in size. However, they also have other properties that make them extremely useful. They have almost no buoyancy, meaning they’ll hang in the water column. Their small size and high number not only ensures a large gas:water surface area, helping oxygen dissolve into the water, but they are also negatively charged, meaning that they stay away from each other and don’t amalgamate into larger, floating bubbles that will rise up through the water to the surface very quickly, popping and releasing most their gas into the air instead of into the water. All this means they are many times more efficient in oxygenating than normal bubbles.
A Pneuma Nanobubble Unit fits onto your cage or by your pond or tank, just the same as the Pneuma Aeration Unit. It pumps nanobubble-enriched water into the cage with a minimum concentration of 10mg/l.
